their failures to push learning forward
without infringement on trust laws.

they can talk about," she said.
For the waste industry, the issue of
contracts is a crucial one, according to
FCC Environment's group development
director Richard Belfield. "The idea of
short-term contracts has to change to
develop a circular economy," he told
delegates. "For me, the real challenge is
how do we generate sufficient confidence
in our shareholders/investors to create
this."
In addition, Belfield pointed to higher
resource extraction as key for companies
such as his seeking to gain a competitive
