BUSINESS coRpoRate peopLe ChIltoN joINS toray MEMBraNE IN EUropE Mark Chilton has joined Tory Membrane Europe (TMEU) as European specialty products manager effective 1 January 2013. Chilton studied chemistry at the University of Surrey, UK, and has gained more than 30 years of experience in the membrane industry working for UK and USA membrane manufacturers. He will develop and expand the business of TMEU's new product line "Specialty Elements". In this position he will be supporting the sales and marketing of dairy and specialty spiral-wound membranes in Europe in close co-operation with TMEU's head office in Switzerland and technical co-operation with the specialists of the speciality membrane R&D and production team at Toray Membrane USA Inc. Chilton is based about one hour to the west of London in Basingstoke. While working for Ionics Inc and GE Water, he acquired a wealth of knowledge across multiple technological products for industrial high-purity water, seawater desalination, water reuse and zero-liquid discharge applications. Miller joins Modern Water from Orbeco-Hellige, a subsidiary of Lovibond-Tintometer, where he was sales and marketing manager, North America. • 1 For more about Modern Water, see page 30. rEyNoldS to lEad Ch2M hIll IN MENa aNd INdIa Chartered engineer Neil Reynolds has been appointed regional managing director for CH2M Hill's operations in Middle East/ North Africa (MENA) and India. Reynolds joined CH2M Hill in 2009 as international operations director and was responsible for the company's water business operations outside North America, focusing in the UK and Europe, MENA, India, Singapore and Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In his new post, Reynolds will be leading the entire regional footprint for CH2M Hill and Halcrow, which the firm acquired in 2011, working across the firm's business markets (energy, water, transportation, environment, facilities and infrastructure). A fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Reynolds is also a chartered environmentalist and has more than 30 years of experience in international infrastructure project development, engineering, procurement, and construction. harvEy dIrECtS ModErN WatEr StratEgy UK forward-osmosis specialist Modern Water plc has recently appointed William Harvey as its director of strategy and new business development for its Membrane Processes division as well as its electrocoagulation products.
