What was your first job? Apprentice gas service engi- neer with British Gas. What are the best and worst parts of your job? The best part is the diversity. My job is a great mix of opera- tional activity and strategic business development. I get real pleasure from knowing that our business works really hard to provide a safe and reliable service to our custom- ers – on average, we only interrupt the supply of our customers once every 40 years! Believe it or not, there aren't any 'worst' parts. What's your dream job and why? I would love to be a pilot. When I was younger I wanted to join the Royal Air Force. What's your most treasured possession? They're not a possession but I treasure my family more than anything else. In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you? I canvassed my colleagues on this one, who came up with Nicole Kidman… among others! What album is currently in your car CD player? I'm currently bouncing between Taylor Swi and Ed Sheeran. What's your favourite film and TV programme? I love the Harry Potter films and on TV I've just finished watching Fortitude, which I really enjoyed. What quote or saying do you most overuse? "What's the so what?" If you ruled the world, what would you do first? Radically change the way that we educate children. What's your favourite joke? What do you call a chicken in a shell suit? An egg. Do you work for or with utilities and you'd like let our readers know a little bit more about you?
