Book online at: www.WWT-environment.net Reader of the week Clive Book, head of emergency and metering, Wales & West Utilities "The lowest standard you display is the highest you can expect" What was your first job? I followed in the footsteps of my dad and became an apprentice gas service engineer – a job I really enjoyed. What are the best and worst parts of your job? The best part is knowing at the end of a busy day dealing with up to 1,000 gas emergencies that everyone is safe. The worst part is any time we get called to a carbon monoxide fatality. So many of these are avoidable if the right precautions are taken. It never gets any easier to deal with. What's your dream job and why? I like watching most sports and would love to be a radio com- mentator covering major sports events. I have the perfect face for radio. What's your most treasured possession? It would have to be all the old photos of my five sons growing up. In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you? Tom Hanks. I'd love to hear his Somerset accent. What album is currently in your car CD player? An audiobook of Two Brothers by Ben Elton and Higher by The Overtones. What's your favourite film and TV programme? Film: The Usual Suspects. TV: Gavin & Stacey. Anything that makes you laugh out loud has to be good. What quote or saying do you most overuse? "The lowest standard you display is the highest you can expect." If you ruled the world, what would you do first? Outlaw the post of ruler of the world and then resign. What's your favourite joke? Two snowmen are standing next to each other in a garden. One says to the other, "Can you smell carrots?".
