Subscriber of the week Ross Taylor, utilities lead, HP In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you? Adrian Edmondson. I try to shake off the likeness, but people refer to it all the time. Ross leads HP's Energy and Utility business in the UK and Ireland What was your first job? Straight out of Bristol University as an IT officer at the local Southmead Hospital. What are the best and worst parts of your job? Easy, the best part is spending time with customers, working out how HP can help them. The worst part is spending so much time on the road, although having a home in the Midlands means I can see almost anyone and still sleep at home. What's your most treasured possession? One of my folding bikes, probably the original Brompton T5. Where did you last go on holiday? Germany. I worked there for several years, made many friends and found a wonderful country I'm still exploring. Reveal something about yourself not many people know. I'm passionate about the sustainable production of food. I help run a local group of the Soil Association and Garden Organic, and practice what I preach on my own allotment. What album is currently in your car CD player? The first album of The Specials from 1979. Music I enjoyed as a teenager, which spoke for the cities of the Midlands. What's your favourite film and TV programme? My TV treat is to stay up and watch Question Time. I don't have a favourite film, but love all the movies which bring Britain to the big screen, from Alec Guinness to Alan Partridge! What quote or saying do you most overuse? "Try looking at this from their point of view…" If you ruled the world, what would you do first? I'd prioritise giving everyone a ccess to clean water, energy and information. What's your favourite joke? How many IT people does it take to change a light bulb? I've heard all the answers.
