The literature covering ion-exchange processes and their applications is very fragmented, and contained in a number of scientific journals or in a large number of patents. This makes it difficult to gain an overview of today's available ion-exchange processes and their applications. It will invite keynote speakers and experts to address sustainability and innovation, and to share knowledge and transfer experience. The conference will be held in Kuwait by the Water Science and Technology Association of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries, and in collaboration with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), represented by the Water Research Centre. Web: terrapinn.com New Delhi, India 24 - 24 May 2019 l5 TH SMART CITIES INDIA 2019 EXPO/ 5TH WATER INDIA 2018 EXPO The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), a trade promotion agency which operates under India's ministry of commerce and industry, and Exhibitions India Group, are organising the 5th Smart Cities India 2019 Expo, to include Buildings India, Solar India, Transport India, and Water India. India ranks at number 133 out of 180 nations for its water availability, and 120 of 122 for water quality; about 80 per cent of India's surface is estimated to be polluted, resulting in a loss of $6 billion a year owing to water-related diseases. The water sector in India faces an increase in water consumption particularly in urban areas, water-borne diseases, growth in demand from industry, political and regulatory disputes, water cycle imbalances, rising demand from agriculture, and a lack of technology, among other challenges. India's water sector is estimated to require $13 billion of investment. The 5th Water India 2018 Expo offers a platform to promote products, services, and solutions, and will provide insight into emerging business opportunities. Themes include: Non-revenue water, irrigation systems, supply and distribution, wastewater treatment, solar-powered water supply, and government initiatives.
