• The current ownership stakes in IDE are Alfa Group 50 per cent, and Delek Group 50 per cent. The 50 per cent that was owned by Israel Chemicals was sold to a limited partnership, Alfa Water Fund, which is owned by Clal Insurance Group (44 per cent), the Israel Teachers' and Kindergarten Fund (36 per cent), Alfa Investments (11 per cent), Ayalon Insurance (9 per cent), and whose general partner, Alfa Water Management, is controlled by me, and Amir Lang. Alfa Group is a strategic investor in the water market; its intention is for Alfa Water to invest for them in the global water market. The deal supports IDE as a technology and solutions provider, and as a Š nancial investor in water related assets, even if not originally built by IDE. • The areas of opportunity for us this year are Chile, South Africa, Taiwan, and the US. In California and Texas, US, we expect continued demand for desalination. In California, will be testing a wastewater treatment solution at a demonstration facility during 2018, we also anticipate growing interest for wastewater reuse in Texas. In 2017, we completed the upgrade of Santa Barbara desalination plant, California; we began operations of an industrial water treatment plant in China; and secured a large desalination contract in Taiwan. • I believe that we can develop IDE as a world leader in water treatment solutions under the new ownership structure. Our core goals remain to develop strategic partnerships with governments, municipalities, and private industries, with the aim to develop, engineer, construct, and operate enhanced desalination, water reuse, and industrial water treatment plants. The new ownership structure will not provide access to markets that are politically inaccessible to IDE, as we had originally aimed for in a deal, however, it does bring the new opportunities for investing as outlined above. • IDE has made progress in terms of produced water treatment. We have successfully commissioned a produced water treatment project in Karamay, China, using our mechanical vapour compression (MVC) technology. And we continue to provide a solution for steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) oil recovery. We have made progress in increasing the water recovery of brackish water reverse osmosis (BWRO) desalination plants, and we are developing two new high recovery technologies for BWRO and industrial water applications.
