Engineering firm Jones Celtic Bio
Energy has started work on a new
food waste and green gas plant for
Severn Trent in Spondon.
The £20 million plant that will
turn 50,000 tonnes of food waste a
year into renewable gas, which will be
pumped into the distribution network.
The plant is similar in design to
Severn Trent's existing food waste
plant in Coleshill and another nearing
completion in Roundhill.
