Record windfarm construction is
under way in Scotland, with Scottish
Power currently working on nine sites.
The projects, including the 69MW
23-turbine Dersalloch windfarm near
Straiton in Ayrshire pictured here,
involve building 221 turbines alto-
gether and represent an investment of
more than £650 million.
Once they have been completed,
the new windfarms will deliver 474MW
of electricity capacity.
