Aer more than a year, Solar Impulse
2 has completed its round-the-world
voyage without consuming any fuel,
becoming the first fixed-wing aircra
to do so.
The record-breaking venture took
pilots Bertrand Piccard and Andre
Borschberg 16 months, including a
five-month delay while repairs were
carried out to the batteries, which
were damaged on the longest leg of
the flight from Japan to Hawaii. The
