Products Siemens Hydro Ranger 200 ● Ultrasonic level controller for up to six pumps ● Includes advanced digital communications with built-in Modbus rTU via rS-485 ● Monitors water and wastewater of any consistency up to 15m in depth ● Achievable resolution of 0.1% with accuracy to 0.25% of range What it is: The Hydroranger 200 is an ultrasonic level controller for water or wastewater monitoring in pumping stations or open channels. Already a popular product on the market, it has been enhanced with new technology and design alterations to deliver greater user benefits. What's new: Setup is speedier than before - Siemens promises under a minute - thanks to the addition of graphical Quick Start Wizards, and a redesigned enclosure with protected wiring compartment and removable terminal blocks. The controllers also offer a wider range of communication options including increased interaction with the popular Profibus DPV1 industrial protocol. The pitch: Derek Moore, UK Product Level Manager, Siemens UK & Ireland, comments: "For nearly 30 years, the Hydroranger 200 has remained the industry standard for level measurement across a number of applications. Our continued investment in this solution, as well as our wider industrial measurement portfolio, demonstrates our commitment to helping meet industry challenges now, and in the future." Focus on…monitoring and metering NivuSmart Q NIVUSmart Q is a new contactless flow measurement system using parallel level measurements launched by NIVUS in co-operation with the University of Strasbourg. The two level measurements, at a known distance, are used to determine the flow rate; the measurement accuracy is comparable to other contactless flow measurement systems such as radar. by calibrating the measurement system higher accuracies can be achieved, and hydraulic phenomena such as backwater and free discharge detected. Morgan air coupled sensors Morgan Advanced Materials has further extended its offering to the utilities sector with the addition of a new range of ultra-wide bandwidth, high-sensitivity air coupled ceramic sensors for flow metering. The sensors offer an increase of magnitude in sensitivity compared with alternatives whilst maintaining and widening the bandwidth. These enhanced properties enable metering manufacturers to greatly increase flow measurement accuracy at low and high flow rates, while also reducing power consumption. Titan OG flowmeters With a proprietary oval gear design, Titan Enterprises OG-1 and OG-2 flowmeters are designed to give reliable, high performance in high pressure applications. Constructed from durable materials, these compact meters can measure flow at pressures of up to 700 bar. Unlike other flowmeters, the measurement accuracy of oval-gear flowmeters improves as liquid viscosity increases, from a nominal one per cent to around 0.1 per cent of flow rate at higher viscosities.
