The unit features upgraded electronics throughout the leak noise processing path to deliver better results in traditionally diffi cult leak detection situations, such as on plastic or large diameter pipes. The Touch Pro's high- visibility full-colour VGA touch screen greatly improves data entry and the quality of graphical representation. The intuitive user interface enables operation with the minimum number of key presses and the step-by-step menu system easily guides the user through the correlation process. www.hwm-water.com New DEHNpatch surge arrester launched The DEHNpatch product series for RJ45 connections has been supplemented by another arrester. DEHNpatch Class D is a surge arrester for protecting Ethernet-based interfaces in structured cabling systems according to class D up to 100 MHz. This arrester is ideally suited for use in Telecom and data networks such as PV systems, wind turbines, IP camera systems and Ethernet / PoE applications up to 1 Gbit/s. It is ideally suited for retrofi t protection of all lines. www.dehn.co.uk Grundfos releases book on water sustainability The most recent edition of "Grundfos Thinks Water" has been launched at a global leadership conference in Denmark. This 24-page publication is designed to have two functions: to communicate the various water activities Grundfos have been involved with, as well as to act as a support tool to their UN's CEO Water Mandate role. The book explains how Grundfos is demonstrating its responsibility to deliver sustainable water solutions in a responsible manner, with case stories from Sweden, India, Vietnam and Zimbabwe. www.grundfos.com New data recording version of Atrato fl owmeter so ware Titan Enterprises has released a new data recording version of its Atrato ultrasonic fl owmeter so ware interface. Easy to set up and use, the Atrato fl ow recorder enables data recording via an external computer. With features that provide monitoring, reporting and management of fl ow data - the Atrato fl ow recorder delivers a continuous picture of your process and a reliable alternative to restrictive and costly manual metering. The new so ware interface will be supplied with all new orders and can also be used with any Atrato fl owmeter manufactured a er June 2013. www.fl owmeters.co.uk Ultrasonic Water Meter Technology Shows Promise Titan Enterprises has built an ultrasonic water meter technology demonstrator using its Atrato fl owmeter as a platform. The new device easily satisfi es all the required water industry performance standards and fi ts within the 110mm desirable mounting length. The market for domestic smart water meters is expanding and with meters requiring power to operate, the sub-meter and heat transfer markets are a growth sector. Titan has built and trialled a 110mm long, half inch bore, water meter and achieved an accuracy better than ±2% over a 250:1 fl ow range using an external power supply. www.fl owmeters. co.uk Dirty Water Flow Meter Improves Reliability of Glass Bottle Making Plant Titan Enterprises has developed a 'dirty water' ultrasonic fl owmeter for Graphoidal Developments Ltd, a designer and manufacturer of advanced lubrication and coating systems for the glass container and tableware industries.Rust deposits in water coolant lines previously rendered turbine fl owmeters inaccurate, but the modifi ed Atrato fl owmeter was immune to this 'dirty water' problem, could operate over a wide dynamic fl ow range, had identical electronic outputs and would fi t into the same space as the existing fl owmeter. www.fl owmeters.co.uk
