Over a six-month period the initiative resulted in a 30% reduction in water consumption. ✰Finalist: Mott MacDonald Bentley for the Beaver Dyke Reservoir decommissioning project, which made effective use of BIM to design and construct solutions which respected the site's visual appearance and heritage. ✰Finalist: Northumbrian Water Group for its £150M scheme to secure water supplies to Essex by signi cantly increasing capacity at Abberton Reservoir. ✰Finalist: Thames Water Utilities and MGJV for the aquifer recharge project to expand the available groundwater in aquifers in Kent. Water Resource Management Initiative of the Year What the judges said: The 'Zoo in the Loo' project showed how water consumption could be reduced in a business context by a targeted, clever campaign. Winner Morrison Utility Services For its trailblazing School Safety campaign, where animations and supporting material provide exible teaching aids to primary schools to warn of the dangers of utility streetworks. ✰Finalist: H5O and South West Water for the innovative Working in a Mine eld scheme that changed culture and behaviours, and triggered a virtuous self-changing cycle to identify risks. ✰Finalist: Kier for its Make A Difference initiative, a Service Strike Elimination Strategy and behavioural safety programme that halved the number of operational staff injuries. ✰Finalist: Northumbrian Water Group for its CDM Coordinator initiative, which takes the intent of the CDM Regulations beyond mere compliance. ✰Finalist: Thames Water Utilities for up-skilling all managers' H&S knowledge and understanding, enabling H&S managers to be more strategic and provide direction. ✰Finalist: Yorkshire Water for its adoption of a Wellbeing Model, which has reduced sickness absence to 2.3%. Health & Safety Initiative of the Year What the judges said: Morrison Utility Services' School Safety initiative, which includes 'Jack's New Bike', put across construction and streetworks site safety messages in a compelling way, and used an innovative method of delivery. the Y
