The West of Duddon Sands offshore
windfarm has been officially opened,
having hit its full power output more
than two months ahead of schedule.
The 389MW scheme in the Irish Sea
comprises 108 turbines and has been
developed by Scottish Power Renewa-
bles and Dong Energy.
It was officially opened by energy
secretary Ed Davey at a ceremony
attended by Ignacio Galan, the
chairman of Scottish Power and
West of Duddon
at full power
