The project required a pipework system that could carry corrosive chemicals including Orthophos- phoric acid and Polyaluminium Chloride. Durapipe was chosen for its corrosion resistance and ease of installation. Durapipe PVC-u is a lightweight, solvent-welded, fully-matched pipework system incorporating pipe, fittings and valves, available in both imperial and metric sizes. www.durapipe.co.uk UV system for China complex a Hanovia uV disinfection system has been installed in a luxury private residential complex in Jinan, China to treat the drinking water supply. The medium pressure uV system is designed to remove at least 99% of E.coli, crypto- sporidium, flagellate and other potentially pathogenic micro- organisms. Compact and easy to main- tain, the Hanovia system ensures municipal water supplied to the complex meets WHO drinking water quality guidelines a er treatment. www.hanovia.com Capacity and efficiency in one The grundfos s-tube impeller pump means there is no need to compromise either free passage or energy-efficient performance as there are no dead zones and no cutting or moving parts that can get worn out over time. The sL1.80.80 atex-rated s- tube wet well submersible pump, for example, has a solids-handling capacity of 80mm while maintain- ing an efficiency of 63%. In a recent pumping station installa- tion it drove a £5,000 operational saving in the first three-months alone. www.grundfos.co.uk ACO launches BIM offering aCO Technologies has launched a BIM offering targeting civils and infrastructure projects. BIM files are now available for the entire ACO Water Management Civ- ils + Infrastructure range, including Qmax, stormBrixx, KerbDrain and MultiDrain. For aCO Building Drainage the offer is initially on Deckline 125 galvanised steel and Modular 125 stainless steel drainage systems, but will be rolled out across the whole portfolio by the end of 2014. all are available to download from the company's website. www.aco.co.uk/BIM New Mono pump range The new Mono dosing pump from NOV Mono provides a smooth pumping action with no pulsation and very low shear. Ideal for either intermittent or continuous dosing in high- pressure, low-flow applications, the Mono pumps have no valve components, therefore, reducing the number of wearing parts. There are four models in the range to cover requirements from 25l/h and 72bar pressure to 1,250l/h and 12bar pressure. all components, except the body, coupling rod and suction cham- ber, are supplied in stainless steel as standard. www.mono-pumps.com Accuracy assured with Qdos 60 Following the success of the Qdos 30 peristaltic metering pump, Watson-Marlow Pumps group has introduced the larger Qdos 60 model. The addition expands the range to incorporate flow rates from 0.1 to 1,000ml/min at 7bar. Chemical wastage is reduced thanks to greater accuracy, which, combined with simple drop-in installation and easy, tool-free maintenance, makes the Qdos 60 a cost-effective solution in chemical metering applications. www.wmpg.co.uk Measurement goes mobile The SAM-1 smart aqua meter from sensorex connects to both apple and android smartphones and tablets via the headphone jack port. Combined with the free SAM-1 app, which instantly recognises the smart sensor type and calibra- tion, it allows the user to measure and record pH, ORP, conductivity and temperature values. Time, date and gPs location are automatically recorded with each reading and readings can be shared instantly via email or exported to a spreadsheet. www.sensorex.com Conder Solutions rebrands Following the news that its par- ent company EPs has entered into strategic partnership with Canada-based Premier Tech, Conder solutions has announced a rebrand as Conder aqua solu- tions. New launches will follow the rebrand including the new low- profile septic tank range. Manu- factured in HDPE with granular and concrete backfill options the range features built-in imping- ment pre-filters, protecting the drainage field, automatic cut off and enhanced performance and durability. www.conderproducts.com
