Early next year the developers behind
the Fecamp offshore windfarm, 13km
off the coast of Normandy, will under-
take trial installations of Norwegain
company Seatower's "crane-free"
foundations towers.
It will be the live installation of
one of Seatower's "float-out-and-sink"
foundations, which if successful could
change the economics of offshore
windfarms because it would obviate
the need for expensive crane ships.
