A 17km water main that improves the
resilience of Sutton and East Surrey
Water's distribution network has been
shortlisted for an Engineering Excel-
lence award from the Institution of
Civil Engineers.
The 800mm diameter pipeline
between Outwood reservoir and Buck-
land pumping station passes under
two railway lines and three A-roads,
below an oil pipeline and across sev-
eral rural watercourses and roads.
