ultraviolet (UV) treatment channel at
its Chichester water treatment works
to clean storm water overflows before
they are discharged into Chichester
Harbour has received the stamp of
approval from the Chichester Water
Quality Group.
UV is commonly used for sewage
treatment, but the £2 million scheme
will see Southern Water using UV
for storm water for the first time.
