With our own on-site Laboratory (currently in the process of obtaining UKAS accreditation) and a team of 16 people, the department covers the main chemical and microbiological aspects of water analysis. Additionally the department takes the lead role on DWSP's and catchment management. The role running alongside the Water Quality Manager will form part of the Company's senior management team and as such a key area will be the ability to communicate and build relationships with all areas of the business both at operational and Director level and also with our regulators. As with any senior role it is expected that any applicant will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills allied with plenty of experience gained from within a senior management position in the area of Water Quality. A pro- active approach along with a good track record in H&S will be a pre-requisite for any applicant. It is taken for granted that any successful applicant will have a degree in a science related subject as well as being chartered in a science related discipline preferably either a Chartered Chemist or Scientist. We have an exciting plan for substantial future growth and we are seeking a Network and Standards Manager (Electricity) to manage the Low Voltage and High Voltage distribution networks across the UK. Key accountabilities:- • Responsible for delivery of HV and LV fault response and repair works to time, cost and quality, minimising network abnormal running conditions. • Ensure continuous compliance and review of Engineering policy relating to commissioning, maintenance and refurbishment of electrical networks. • Ensuring that asset adoption is carried out satisfactorily and that the relevant Business Systems are updated accordingly. • Determine the appropriate point of connection and any associated reinforcement requirements for new load and generation enquiries. • Ability to provide technical leadership and support. • Responsible for compiling annual network statistics to OFGEM. • Maintain compliance with Guaranteed Standards and other regulatory returns. • Representing the Company at National Industry Forums and Working Groups. To be successful in the role, potential candidates should possess: • BEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering • Application of Statutory Instruments (ESQC regulations, Health & Safety at Work Act – appropriate to the role) • Knowledge of relevant Safety Rules • Understanding of network design, operations and constraints - essential Salary competitive and commensurate with skill set and experience.
