BIO-BLOK ® , however, is designed as a helical structure, based on oval threads with a defined diameter. When these threads become thicker due to growth in the thickness of the bio-film, the specific biologically active surface increases correspondingly. Therefore, using BIO-BLOK ® results in a considerable reduction in volume of media needed for effective treatment, offering substantial savings on asset size and build. Benefits of using BIO-BLOK ® : Experience the benefits of BIO-BLOK ® The only Intelligent Fixed Film Media on the market! Fields of Application include - Wastewater treatment plants for industrial and domestic sewerage Aeration and degassing Aquaculture Bioscrubbers and cooling towers Key Benefits include - Efficient, versatilebiologicaltreatment Reduced lifetime cost Unique design and surface structure enhancesdevelopmentofbiologicalfilm Economical, efficientandeasytouse Reduced asset size Extremely effective BOD, ammonia and S/S reduction When bacteria (biological film or bio-film) grow on a flat sheet media, the specific surface area will remain constant even with the establishment of a thicker bio- film.
