Q What does ZeeWeed off er in SWRO pre- treatment? • An ideal solution for seawater RO pre-treatment is ZeeWeed 700B UF membrane, which employs a blended polyethersulphone (PES) membrane. The PES construction enables the membrane to stay permanently hydrophilic, and reduces the fouling tendency - which is crucial to an effi ciently run plant. The ZeeWeed 700B features SevenBore fi bre technology, a reliable, strong fi bre that enables seawater facilities to run pre-treatment trains at a higher fl ux with a smaller footprint. The pressurised pre-treatment system can be coupled directly to the SWRO, simplifying installation. We have technologies such as ZeeWeed UF and MBR to transform wastewater into potable or industrial use water. There are two approaches to potable water reuse. The fi rst is indirect potable reuse (IPR), which treats wastewater and introduces it into an environmental buff er, such as an aquifer, before distribution. The second, direct potable reuse (DPR), treats wastewater and either introduces the product water into the raw water supply upstream of a drinking water treatment facility, or direct into the potable water distribution system.
