ALLIANCES 2019 15 ration to deliver investment in the region's clean and wastewater network. One of the company's biggest recent projects, the £40 million renewal of Ambergate reservoir com- pleted earlier this year, was carried out by a Laing O'Rourke and NMC partner- ship working under the One Severn Trent banner. Laing O'Rourke, which has the Severn Trent framework contract for clean water infrastructure works, made use of its large pre-casting facility at Worksop, which supplied precast concrete structural elements for the columns, beams and roof planks for the work on one of the reservoirs. NMC, meanwhile, was able to provide a strong track record of having delivered mechani- cal, electrical and high security installations within the Severn Trent programme. CiM6 – responsible for ALLIANCES 2019: SEVERN TRENT non-infrastructure design- and-build works in AMP6 – was formed between Costain and MWH, which has since been acquired by Stantec. Delivering non-infra- structure design & build works, CiM6 projects have included an innovative sludge thickener project at Stratford Milcote STW and improvements at Brockhamp- ton sewage treatment works. "CiM6 have become a high performing team over the years with an excellent safety record, and recent praise from Severn Trent for the alliance's support to deliver emergency works over the hot weather period demonstrates the added value of strong long-term relationships," said a Costain spokesperson.
