SMART WATER NETWORKS 2018 | 7 A quam has launched Amplus, an advanced remote operated vehi- cle (ROV) for use in pressur- ised water, wastewater, and industrial pipe applications. The data-driven technol- ogy represents a new era in analysis and preventative as- sessment for water and other pipe-based infrastructure. Amplus allows Aquam to provide customers with remaining pipeline lifespan calculations through high reso- lution imagery and pinpointed real-time data, enabling customers to develop informed maintenance and replacement strategies that optimise limited • nancial budgets. "Data-driven information is the future of infrastructure management and the key to preventing mainline bursts. With a minimal incision, we're able to obtain real-time data on leaks, € ow, blockage, corrosion, and pipe thick- ness – critical information to developing and executing a cost-e„ ective rehabilita- tion plan," said Tim Bowen, managing director, Aquam Technologies. "Adding this cutting-edge technology to our pipe diag- nostics o„ erings ensures our customers have the necessary data to extend budget and spend smarter." Amplus' state of the art technology uses both forward and reversing high de• nition cameras, ultrasonic scanners and acoustic hydrophone sensors for collecting and transmitting comprehensive and high-resolution analysis of pipelines in real-time. Deployed through access points as small as 100mm the ability to crawl through pipelines regardless of € ow or pressure, is one of the strong- est di„ erentiators for Amplus. It has an assessment range of 2,000m in one deployment. "The versatility of Amplus will change the way that the industry approaches infra- structure management," said Dan Squiller, chief executive, Aquam. "Our products bring sustainable solutions to infra- structure challenges, and with Amplus we're not only able to empower our customers to take control of their future, but we've also provided them with the tools to develop an expedient solution. "The addition of Amplus into Aquam's portfolio rep- resents an industry break- through as we bring the most innovative and advanced solutions to our customers."
