South West Water is building a
£60 million water treatment works to
serve Plymouth and the surrounding
area. Construction of the Mayflower
Water Treatment Works started in
April 2016 and the facility is on
schedule to become operational in
late autumn 2018. It will replace the
outdated treatment works at Crownhill
in Plymouth, which was built in the
1950s and is reaching the end of its
useful life.
