Distribution network operator Electric-
ity North West (ENW) is in the process
of dismantling seven pylons as part of
a £3.5 million project to replace 2km of
overhead power lines between Kears-
ley and Agecro, in Salford.
ENW project manager Ian Baldock
said: "It takes two to three days to
change each tower, but we stagger it
all. We take one tower down and put
another one in its place. It's like a big
boy's Meccano set."
