Completed in 1912, Anglian Water's
covered reservoir at Bracebridge
Heath holds up to 27 million litres of
treated water for the city of Lincoln.
The tank is emptied every five years
and checked, and the structure is now
undergoing vital maintenance works
before being put back into service.
It was built at the same time as the
city's iconic Westgate Water Tower
in response to a typhoid epidemic
that broke out in 1904 as a result
