ALLIANCES 2018 3 "...the sector is in ll swing as AMP7 looms" Welcome to Alliances 2018 – our de nitive guide providing insight into the latest collabora- tions formed in the water industry by the lead- ing civil and process engineering businesses and consultants, as well as some of the water companies themselves. A er a slow start to AMP6, the sector is in full swing just as the sector is thinking about AMP7, and what that will bring. It has been fascinating to discover more about behaviour assessments and how these can be used to boost collaboration and the procure- ment process (see p6-7). Each alliance brings with it di‚ erent cultures and achieving a com- mon goal between partners – no matter where they t in the Tier hierarchy – is vital if it is to be successful along the journey. Finally, there are many collaborative ventures working in the water industry and in compiling Alliances 2018 we have only scratched the sur- face. Omissions have not been intentional – if you are one of these do let me know.
