ALLIANCES 2018 9 4Delivery, comprising Costain, Veolia and MWH, is redeveloping Woolston Wastewater Treatment Works on behalf of Southern Water. The £63M project will transform the facility into a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment works that will serve the Woolston, Southampton community. Since work began in 2014, the project has seen more than 2,000 crane liƒs, more than 5,500m3 of concrete placed, and moved more than 4,700 tonnes of excavations cleared. A tower crane has been on site helping workers access different areas across the site. Specialist contractors are now installing the mechanical process equipment and a concrete specialist is focused on installing pre-cast structures. Water tests on the tanks have taken place to ensure there will be no leaks once wastewater is added. Anglian Water's @one Alliance is a collaborative organisation of consultants and contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. In the current regulatory cycle, the @one Alliance is expected to design and build around 800 schemes worth around £1.2bn. @One, which comprises The scheme will significantly reduce smells and noise coming from the site, and ensure the treated wastewater leaving the site meets new, higher environmental standards. Its sleek new wave-inspired design will also improve the appearance of the works, enabling it to fit in with a redevelopment of the area. 4Delivery has worked with Southern Water since Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Sweco, MMB, MWH, Skanska, Anglian Water. According to Dale Evans, director of @One Alliance, it completed 86 projects despite a slow start to the year. In delivering the Year 2 programme, £163M was spent. He says that overall, the alliance is holding an efficiency performance of 34%, ensuring its challenging the beginning of AMP4 (2005-10), and has delivered more than £1bn of environmental improvements in the past ten years, including a £240M scheme to build the new Peacehaven wastewater treatment works and associated infrastructure to serve the Brighton and Hove catchment. 4Delivery's contract was not renewed for AMP6. outperformance model is working.
