28 ALLIANCES 2018 MGJV is a well-established joint venture, comprising Galliford Try and Morrison Utility Services with Atkins in a support role. It started out working on Thames Water's AMP5 delivery programme and is now working on infrastructure projects in both Southern Water's west and east regions. The alliance is delivering in the region of £200M of planned infrastructure works across Southern's potable and sewerage networks. The Infrastructure framework covers investment in network assets across Southern Water's entire region and includes: Replacement and upgrade of both raw and treated water supply and distribu- tion networks Replacement and upgrade of sewer rising mains, gravity networks, sewer rehabilitation and flood mitigation activity Developer Services activity to support network growth Sweco and Morgan Sindall, through their Morgan Sindall Sweco (MS2) collaboration, is carrying out AMP6 treatment frameworks for Yorkshire Water, providing asset management and engineering solutions. The joint venture is now part way through Yorkshire Water's £17M investment project to modernise Irton Water Treatment Works to improve Scarborough's drink- ing water and enable the site to meet the needs of future The joint venture has received six works orders, and is considering a further 30 or so jobs which should generations. The three-year scheme will involve installing a new first stage treatment process designed to remove the slightly tinged peat colour from the raw water in Langsett reservoir, prior to it being treated and sent out to supply customers.
