Spectro Scientifi c FluidScan 1100 Recently patented in the USA, Spectro Scientifi c's FluidScan 1100 analyzer enables service engineers to perform customised in-fi eld oil analysis on assets they maintain. The equipment al- lows condition-based main- tenance on the selected assets by using specifi c data to create a distinct set of system warnings and alarms for each asset. The product is part of a suite of real-time analysis instruments off ered by Spectro. OTHER TOP PICKS FOR INSTRUMENTATION Next month: drives and actuators THE DETAILS Sensorex SD7500 pH probe ● Measures pH with three electrode sensors ● Durable construction, resists contamination ● Measurement accuracy assured over wide temperature range ● Compatible with pH/ORP transmitters ● Extended lifetime of 3-5 years What it is: Continuous online pH monitoring requires sensors that need to be regularly replaced as part of routine maintenance. The Sensorex SD7500 Universal Diff erential pH Probe extends the working lifetime of sensors and alllows for easy upgrading, as it boasts universal compatibility with virtually any brand of conventional pH transmitter. How it works: The SD7500 probe measures process pH diff erentially with three electrode sensors: a process pH electrode, a pH reference and a titanium ground electrode. The result is a highly accurate diff erential pH measurement that is virtually unaff ected by ground loop measurement errors. What's good about it: With a self-powered preamp and combination sensor output, the SD7500 Diff erential pH Probe can be used with most conventional online pH/ORP transmitters and controllers. This enables drop-in replacement in existing process installations, as well as easy integration into new systems. The spectrometer can integrate seamlessly with existing ion chromatography or high performance liquid chromatography systems; it uses the Chromeleon Chro- matography Data So ware (CDS) platform with embed- ded ISQ EC MS instrument control, enabling users to minimise time spent on new mass spectrometry user training. HORIBA UP-100 HORIBA has launched the UP-100, a fully automatic and self-calibrating micro- volume in-line pH monitor. The programmable unit can operate without user inter- vention for up to six months. When connected to a stor- age vessel or pipe, the device is able to take a 0.5mL sample as frequently as once per minute if required, determine its pH level and then dispose of the tested sample to avoid contamina- tion. The controller has an RS-485 connector for data I/O enabling the UP-100 to be programmed remotely. PRODUCT OF THE MONTH
