leaders 2017 27 Mott MacDonald sees oppor- tunities all round Mott MacDonalD 10 Fleet Place london Ec4M 7RB t: 020 7651 0300 www.mottmac.com Mott MacDonald says the UK has provided opportunities for growth in all of its core sectors, except for energy. The UK activities have continued to benefit from the government's pursuit of infrastructure projects as an engine for economic growth, while the regulated asset- based industrial organisations also provided opportunity as they continued delivery of their investment programmes. The group says its profits have benefited from the "upside of organic growth", having been impacted the previous year by provisions against inter-company debts. Looking forward, the group said it is well positioned for growth in its core markets. MMB is one of four Construction Delivery Partners (CDPs) that will help deliver United Utilities' AMP6 and potentially AMP7 Capital Programmes. The new contract is expected to run until 2026, with a review aŠer five years. Individual projects may be of any value and be located throughout the United Utilities operational region. This agreement will see MMB undertake the design and construction of projects across the whole of the United Utilities region and across the full spectrum of water and wastewater infrastructure and non- infrastructure, as well as energy related work. News of this contract award follows the extension of MMB's frameworks with both Severn Trent Water and Yorkshire Water into AMP6, announced in 2013, and the announcement in May 2014 of MMB's appointment to Anglian Water's AMP6 Integrated Main Works Capital Alliance.
