Products Orbitor Eco fast cycle impingement cleaner ● cleans tanks up to 10m diameter ● alternative to spray ball cleaner ● completes cleaning cycle in 2 mins at flow rate of 45 litres per min ● reduced water consumption per cycle by up to 95% Focus on…Tanks What it is: The Orbitor Eco, made by the Spray Nozzle People Group, is part of a new breed of very fast cycle impingement cleaners (FCICs) for cleaning tanks and similar storage vessels. Who's it for: FCICs are typically used for large and challenging tank cleaning operations and are seen as 'overkill' for smaller tanks, where spray balls are preferred. However, the Orbitor Eco is pitched as being efficient and inexpensive enough to be suitable for cleaning tanks of all sizes, including small ones. What's so good about it: Rather than being geared for maximum power, the Orbitor Eco is configured for maximum speed and water efficiency. Some sacrifices in jet length and cleaning strength are made compared to other FCICs, but the new machine can complete a cleaning cycle in under two minutes with flow rates as low as 45 litres per minute. It can fit through a 100mm opening, and compared to spray balls, the device offers reduced water consumption of a staggering 95%, meaning that the return on investment will be measured in a matter of weeks for many businesses. Thermoplastic tanks - Forbes Forbes has expanded its range of Helically Wound Thermoplastic Tanks, following major investment in its production process in the past four years. Initially offering diameters of 3000mm, 3500mm and 4000mm, it is now able to offer much smaller diameters, with tank diameters ranging from 750mm to 4000mm in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) highly chemical resistance grade PE- 100. The move is in response to demand from water utilities, which are increasingly likely to specify helically wound thermoplastic tanks even at smaller sizes, according to Forbes MD Melvyn Jupp. JP Concrete precast tanks JP Concrete's new range of precast concrete units can create storage for neutral and aggressive materials utilised in wastewater, slurry storage, aeration and settlement applications. Benefitting from Factory Controlled Manufacturing, the precast elements are quick and easy to install, minimizing costs and greatly accelerating the speed of tank construction. Suitable for circular, square or rectangular installations above or below ground, the tanks use watertight sealing methods and are also suitable for Storm Attenuation Systems, CSO Chambers and Effluent Storage. Whites Concrete modular tanks Whites Concrete (part of Naylor Concrete Products Ltd), has extended its range of modular tanks for the water industry. Suitable for numerous applications, including Filtration, clean water storage and Stormwater, Whites Concrete's precast tanks can be supplied with solid or slatted lids to allow surface liquid inflow. Designed for use below ground for the storage of most liquid types, the module elements reduce overheads as well as lowering plant and labour costs. The precast tanks are made of natural raw materials which can be recycled, minimising the whole life cycle impact on the environment.
