Products Naylor Smart Gully ● Low cost solution for effective filtration ● Removes 95% of oil and grease in surface water run off ● Adapters for plastic and concrete gullies available ● Absorbs 3-5 times its weight in fuel, oil and grease ● Does not absorb water Focus on…Pipes and Drainage What it is: The Naylor Environmental Smart Gully range utilises the unique properties of Naylor's 'Smart Sponge' product to filter out hydrocarbons at street level before discharge into the sewers or the surrounding environment via soakaways. Available as a Smart Gully Adapter (SGA) the units have been designed for both concrete and plastic street gullies, and can be supplied ready fitted within the gullies or as a retrofit unit. How it works: The Smart Sponge, which sits within the Smart Gully, absorbs any hydrocarbons that would normally pass directly into the soakaway and solidifies the liquid hydrocarbons into a safe manageable recyclable solid waste, whilst allowing stormwater to pass directly into the soakaway as a clean natural resource. There are versions available for use with plastic or concrete gullies. What's so good about it? The Smart Sponge and Smart Gully can help meet the terms of the Water Framework Directive by preventing oil pollution entering the environment or sewers. Maintenance is a very simple process; the SGA is designed not to interfere with a normal gully sucking operation and the top of the unit is readily identifiable by its reflective strips. Hydro Stormbloc The Stormbloc geocellular soakaway system from Hydro International allows for effective and flexible management of surface water in accordance with sustainable drainage system (SuDS) principles. Using Stormbloc Inspect, inspection chambers and access tunnels can be incorporated into the modular block system created by Stormbloc to ensure simple installation and connection to the surface water drainage system, as well as easy access for ongoing maintenance. Stormbloc Inspect can be installed under landscaping or even roadways, providing a drainage solution while remaining easy to access when required. Trelleborg resin calculator Trelleborg's pipe seals operation has launched a new online tool to enable pipe rehabilitation contractors to calculate the precise amount of resin and hardener needed to build a leak-free, hassle-free network of pipes with cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology. The Resin Calculator Tool sees contractors input material parameters such as the liner type, type of resin system used, pipe diameter, wall thickness, length of liner and preferred unit of measurement. The tool then instantly calculates the amount of resin and hardener mix required in both volumetric and gravimetric sizes. Wrekin Highway range Wrekin Products has launched a comprehensive new range of durable, user-friendly and easy to specify highway ironwork. The 'Highway' range includes manhole covers, gullies and ancillary products backed by Wrekin's expertise, training and support. The range was specifically created to exceed even the most demanding standards and guidelines from Highways England, the government body responsible for UK roads. Designed and engineered to be smart, reliable and super-simple to specify, the Highway range represents a significant investment for the Lichfield-based company.
