Minster for industry, innovation and science Greg Hunt (below) shortlisted seven projects to deliver research aimed at boosting critical sectors of the economy as part of the government's AUD $653 million ($500 million) programme. Future Water CRC aims to foster research collaboration between industry and academia to develop new water technologies. $650m China Communications Construction Company has bid $650 million for IDE Technologies. "Things will be decided by meeting the buyer's and seller's expectation on price," IDE chief executive Avshalom Felber told Water. desalination + reuse. The target price is reportedly between $700m and $1 billion. IDE's owners, Delek Group and Israel Chemicals, have signalled a sale. Page 9
