Products CTG ALGAE-Wader Pro ● Environmental and water quality monitoring using TriLux fluorometer ● Real time display of three chlorophyll parameters ● Simple data logging with 2Gbyte storage capacity ● lightweight 100g unit – sensitivity 0.01 ug/l ● battery allows 5 hours of continuous use Focus on…Monitoring What it is: The ALGAE-Wader Pro system from Chelsea Technologies Group provides real-time display of key Chlorophyll parameters necessary for the management of the water treatment process. The system, which uses a TriLux fluorometer, measures the fluorescence of algae and can be used to provide early warning of the presence of algal blooms in water sources. Data is collected using a sensitive range of miniaturised, LUX submersible sensors and are then displayed on the Hawk handheld display unit. Who's using it: United Utilities recently chose the ALGAE-Wader Pro in conjunction with the ALGAE-Station Pro (a related system using a wall-mounted display) to assist them in real time assessment of algae levels in their water sources feeding into a number of their Water Treatment Works. What's so good about it? As well as being very sensitive, the fluorometer sensors are optimised to provide low noise results, with warning alarms, sampling rates and the dynamic range of the sensor being user adjustable. The Hawk is easy for the field operator to use, displaying numerical or graphical data, providing RAG thresholds and logging all data with time and position stamps. Endress + Hauser Micropilot FMR10 Endress+Hauser's new Micropilot FMR10 free-space radar device promises all the benefits of non-contact radar level measurement at a fraction of the cost. Available for just £360, the Micropilot FMR offers reliable continuous level measurement in a multitude of applications such as storage tanks, open basins, pump stations and utilities. It features Bluetooth wireless technology so commissioning, operation and maintenance can be easily done via a Smartphone app available for Android and IOS devices. Signal curves can be displayed on any Bluetooth- enabled smartphone or tablet. Sea-Bird HydroCycle PO4 The HydroCycle PO4 (formerly Cycle-P) phosphate analyser is one of the Sea-Bird Coastal product range of water quality sensors and monitors, which has recently been made more widely available across Europe as part of a new distribution strategy with OTT Hydromet Group. These low-power monitoring technologies are ideal for spotting nutrient pollution in coastal waters. Also available is the Hydro-pH deep water sensor for water up to 350m in depth, the SUNA V2 nitrate sensor and HydroCAT water sondes for long-term deployment. Sensorex water quality monitors Sensorex has expanded its family of water quality and online process transmitters, adding four new models to provide basic monitoring and control. The TX10 pH/ORP and CX10 Conductivity and transmitters offer simple monitoring, while the TX20 pH/ORP and CX20 Conductivity controllers can also be programmed for process control. These small-footprint panel- mount transmitters provide reliable data and control of process fluids, in a cost- effective package, with applications including water quality, chemical, electronics, food production, environmental and wastewater treatment.
