NEMO BF progressing cavity pump The new NEMO BF progressing cavity pump, which has just been launched by Netzsch, boasts an add-on asynchronous bridge preventing module (aBP- Module), which prevents the formation of lumps that can cause bridge building in a sewage sludge conveyance system. Designed for viscous media, the NEMO BF pump with the aBP-Module eliminates high media cohesiveness that can cause repeated entanglements and bridge building. The result is significant reduction or elimination of wastewater treatment plant operational shutdowns. Tsurumi sewage pumps Japanese pump manufacturer Tsurumi has launched several new series of sewage pumps for the European market, bringing the number of pumps it has available on the continent to 500, almost double that previously. The new pumps range from 150 Watts to 160kW in power, and most are supplied with explosion proof motors, and cooling jackets which allow dry installation in pumping stations. The launches represent a significant move for Tsurami, which has long been known in Europe for construction dewatering pumps, and is now broadening out to sewage logistics and treatment too. Pioneer 200VM Pioneer Pumps has launched two new vortex impeller pumps, the Vortex 100VL and 200VM, which are suitable for pumping raw & screened sewage, wastewater and numerous other schemes. Designed to handle the fibrous solids and rag typically found in wastewater applications without blocking, the 100VL features a 100 mm pump and a maximum flow of 180 m³/hour, while the 200VM features a 200 mm pump and a maximum flow of 736 m³/ hour. The larger of the two models, the 200VM has a maximum head of 35m and maximum solid size is 110m. www.wwtonline.co.uk | WWT | AUGUST 2016 | 35 PRODUCT OF THE MONTH OTHER TOP PiCks FOR PUMPs Next month: Monitoring and metering THE DETAiLs...
