Shape the future of water Chair - Customer Challenge Group The initial appointment will be for three years commencing on 1st October 2016 • A remuneration package is available and will depend on experience South West Water provides water and wastewater services to 1.8 million household and non-household customers in Cornwall, Devon and parts of Somerset and Dorset. South West Water also provides water services to around half a million household and non-household customers in the Bournemouth Water supply area, which stretches from Poole in the west, along the coast to Beaulieu in the east, and north to Salisbury. We are seeking an independent Chair to lead the Customer Challenge Group. The purpose of the group will be to assist and challenge the company during the three-year development of its 2020-25 business plan, helping to ensure that customer views and priorities are adequately addressed, and activities and outcomes are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable. Furthermore, you will provide leadership to panel members, support them in fulfilling their responsibilities and act as their spokesperson. You will need to be a recognised figure from either South West Water's or Bournemouth Water's supply area, with a proven track record in championing consumer issues. As the Chair you will bring a successful, board-level track record, including non-executive experience. Knowledge of regulated industries is desirable, whilst first class intellectual, communication and influencing skills are essential. You will be expected to prepare for and attend at least six Customer Challenge Group meetings per year. The timing of meetings will vary. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the WPD Training department for a Training Engineer to work throughout the South West, Midlands and the South Wales area. Reporting base can be either in our Tipton or Taunton Training Centre depending on the successful candidate.
