And hasn't time just – own by! The awards are and have always been about recognising innovation and best practice in the water sector. It certainly has been interesting to see how innovation has played an ever increasingly important role over these past ten years in order to not only meet the industry's regulatory duties but to also overcome other challenges, such as the e™ ects of climate change and population growth to name but a few. Innovation does not just apply to new technologies. It applies to every aspect of what the water companies and their contractors and suppliers do. It is about going above and beyond the call of duty, thinking outside of the box in order to achieve greater eš ciencies. Looking back at the launch of the Water Industry Achievement Awards all those years ago, it is clear to see how far the sector has come since then in being more innovative. It is also evident how a lot of this innovative thinking now is being developed through collaboration. Over the following pages that collaboration is visible among this year's award winners and œ nalists with the water companies and their respective supply chains combining their e™ orts. Everyone in the industry should be applauded for continuing to keep innovation high on the sector's agenda. The Water Industry Achievement Awards have played their part to by applauding that innovation. Here's to the next ten years!
