The system reduces the amount of H2S in the biogas by promoting a biological reaction at the sludge/gas interface within the digester through the injection of small quantities of air into the digester head-space. Finalist: Anglian Water's Hall WTW, which uses River Trent, needed a multi-barrier approach to ensure compliance to EU regulations. A virtually chemical free process has minimised the eŠ ect on the environment and reducing regulatory issues. Finalist: Glan Agua, which incorporated Mixed Liquor Vacuum Degassing technology into the design of the Cavan WwTW Upgrade project. The technology conditions the mixed liquor of activated sludge with vacuum, removing dissolved gasses. Finalist: ICONICS UK and Scottish Water. ICONICS' GENESIS64 platform has provided a modern, secure, highly con˜ gurable data collection, data aggregation and visualisation system for Scottish Water. Finalist: meps installed its lime dosing integration package for Severn Trent Water's Frankley WTW. The dosing system was delivered through 4D digital design, collaborative planning and Design for Manufacture & Assembly. Ambitious targets were set, and the rapid recruitment approach included an internet microsite. Finalist: Balmoral Tanks and its Leadership Academy, which focuses on leaders in the business having the ability to emotionally engage with employees, and the creation of a high performance culture. Finalist: RPS Group for its Post Graduate Certi˜ cate in Managing Urban Drainage is the ˜ rst academically accredited technical development programme within the urban drainage sector. Finalist: Severn Trent Water for its Leadership Forums, the content of which provides the opportunity to share learning and life experiences, to celebrate successes and develop as a team. Finalist: South West Water for its Apprentice scheme, formal programme to develop a skilled / quali˜ ed workforce and address succession planning. Finalist: Thames Water Finance & Business Services and its staŠ development initiatives, which include overhauling the graduate programme to better develop future leaders.
