DIRAK LED panel fitting The new DIRAK LED module from FDB Panel Fittings provides users with a flashing red alert on quarter-turn locks to indicate when a cabinet is open, addressing problems of doors being le fully or partially open even in low light conditions. The LED module is a battery powered new or retro-fit unit operating as a stand- alone item without the need for connection to internal equipment. It fits inside the cabinet door with the illuminating bezel fitted on the outside, and suits all compatible lock inserts such as double bar, square or triangular. Drager Tubes International safety manufacturer Dräger has released a new handbook for its upgraded gas measurement tool, the Dräger Tubes. Since the last version in 2011, the popular tubes measurement technology – consisting of a vial that reacts with the measured gas or vapour by changing colour - has undergone a range of new developments, improvements and modifications. With more than 100 million global sales in the past decade, they are a leading example of a short-term gas measurement system, and can be used for the analysis of the air in sewers, sha s, chemical tanks and other confined spaces. Oxford Plastics Enduramat UK manufacturer Oxford Plastics is enjoying continued success with its range of ground protection products, helping the construction sector deal with the challenges posed by inclement weather. EnduraMat is a multifunctional, reversible mat which can be used as a temporary roadway or parking area to allow access for vehicles up to 80 tonnes. It provides access to building sites for forkli s, diggers, trucks, cranes and other vehicles particularly during adverse weather conditions, while protecting the ground underneath from damage – thus keeping projects running and minimising downtime for both workforce and plant. www.wwtonline.co.uk | WWT | JUNE 2016 | 35 PRODUCT OF THE MONTH OTHER TOP PiCks FOR sAFETY Next month: Communications and control THE DETAiLs... Products Meteor Remote Camera System ● Up to two megapixel resolution ● Ultra low power consumption ● Interchangeable lenses ●Quad band GPRS modem ● Integrated Bluetooth and GPS ● Internal image storage for 100,000 images What it is: Meteor Communications' low power MCE-Nexus cameras are in use across the utilities for asset management, operational monitoring and security applications. They can deliver high quality real- time images from remote locations where no local infrastructure is in place. The cameras form part of a cost- effective, low power system which uses robust 3G and GPRS technology. Who it's for: Nexus cameras have been used on assets such as trash screens and relief channels so that operators can visit when a problem is visible rather than making multiple 'just in case' visits. The footage can be streamed on a website for ease of access to all interested parties, allowing for engagement with the community where appropriate. The system also enables live monitoring of flood defences during storm events (the Environment Agency has a system boasting 150 cameras), as well as providing heightened security across a range of other assets. What's new: Meteor is about to unveil a next generation 3G version of the MCE-Nexus which will deliver ever better picture quality, while building on established system strengths.
