Submissions must be made through the IDA Conference 16CF-Nice Presenter Centre – they will not be accepted via email. The event will be held on 26-27 September 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Nice, Palais de la Méditeranée in Nice, France. The conference, entitled Turning vision into reality, will feature experts from around the world covering leading-edge strategies and technology for advanced municipal and industrial water reuse programmes. The focal point of the conference will be why and how desalination should be integrated into national or regional water management plans, ensuring socio- economic and environmental benefits. The conference will review the most recent developments in desalination technology along with its cost and extent of application, including socio-economic and environmental issues. The event will take place in the second half of 2017 and specific dates and details about the venue are currently being finalized. IDA's site selection committee and the IDA board chose São Paul from three final candidates – Kuwait City, Kuwait; and Busan, South Korea were the other two. cArIbDA 2016 presentAtIons DeADlIne The Caribbean Desalination Association's (CaribDA) biennial convention will held this year in Trinidad under the title: Developing and Affording New Water Sources. The extended deadline for submission of abstracts for the three-day programme of technical presentations and posters closed on 15 January 2016. Note that all Powerpoint presentations (required) will be due by 8 April 2016 and papers are optional. DesAl 2016 – key DAtes for 2016 Desal 2016 will be held in Santiago, Chile on 5-7 October 2016. Authors are invited to submit a 200-300-word abstract of their paper in English by 11 March 2016. Following submission, important dates will be: 19 April – comments to suthors; 31 May – final abstract submission 5 July – final abstracts review and comments to authors; and 3 August – Powerpoint presentations submitted WeX 2016 – A bespoke AgenDA Delegates attending WEX 2018 on 29 February – 2 March 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal are promised "a structured bespoke schedule based on your choices which ensures you know exactly who you will be meeting even before you leave for WEX." According to the event organizers they will contact delegates before the event to ask them to select their prefrred conference sessions and who you would like to meet. WEX's software prepares a schedule for each delegate based on their requests and those of other delegates. There is no requirement on a delegate to accept a meeting and each personal agenda will not clash with conference session preferences.
