November-December 2015 | Desalination & Water Reuse | 29 | THE AMTA / AWWA MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE 2016 JOINT CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION l 1-5 FEBRUARY 2016 l SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, USA The high five: celebrate the latest developments in membrane water treatment technologies at the world's greatest gathering of experts, innovators and practitioners. The American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) are for the fifth time combining forces to bring on the 2016 Membrane Technology Conference and Exposition (MTC) on 1-5 February 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Those attending will have opportunities to explore the peaks of research, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of membrane facilities and technologies. Details of suppliers can be found on www.desalination.biz/marketplace The MTC will include ceramic membranes, forward osmosis and other emerging products. In addition, attendees can learn how to treat impaired water supplies with membranes, discover how membranes enhance water reliability and water quality, and uncover new directions in water treatment technologies and wastewater membrane bioreactor applications. The 2016 MTC will highlight the following key topics in pre- conference workshops, technical papers, poster presentations and a facility tour: • membrane filtration (microfiltration/ultrafiltration); • brackish water desalination (nanofiltration /brackish water reverse o smosis); • seawater desalination; • wastewater and reuse; • residuals management and zero liquid discharge; • industrial applications; • project planning and implementation; • membrane plant operation and management; • regional Issues and regulations; and • research and innovations. Experts-in-the-Round On Tuesday, 2 February we will have two 15-minute rounds of facilitated discussions regarding topics of plant design to experiences in troubleshooting problems in an operating plant. Participants will select their table and topic of choice for each round. WORKSHOPS, TOURS AND TECHNICAL SESSIONS Preconference Workshops On Monday, 1 February registrants can benefit from four preconference workshops. There is an additional fee to attend a workshop.
