ALLIANCES 2016 3 "You can sense a true camaraderie exists.." Welcome to the Alliances 2016 – our de nitive guide providing insight into the latest collabora- tions formed in the water industry by the lead- ing civil and process engineering businesses and consultants, as well as some of the water companies themselves. AMP6 is now six months in and alliances, old and new, are getting into the swing of things. Several new alliances have been formed and the various partners are going through the process of getting to know each other, learning new cul- tures and best practices. This is especially true for those who have not worked together before. It's been fascinating to see how this 'blind date' process has gone at Anglian Water's IOS consor- tia (see p6-9). You can sense a true camaraderie exists already, borne out of openness among the partners and a true collaborative spirit. Finally, there are many collaborative ventures working in the water industry and in compiling Alliances 2016 we have only scratched the sur- face. Omissions have not been intentional – if you are one these let me know.
