ALLIANCES 2016 27 Joint venture KCD is made up of Clancy Docwra and Kier Group and, like Agility (see p12) is working as a partner in Thames Water's infrastruc- ture alliance. Together with eight2O, the infrastructure alliance will help deliver Thames Water's multibillion- pound capital investment programme over the next five years. The scope of the alliance covers the full range of services, including clean water network repair, rehabilitation and mainte- nance and leak detection, along with constructing new water mains. It will also consist of managing the logis- tics and scheduling of programmes, as well as developing customer and stakeholder services. The Thames deal is not the only one where Kier and Clancy Docwra are working together. They are already working together on substantial Anglian Water contracts, including the new planned programme for AMP6. In bidding for the Thames work, Kier and Clancy Docwra focused on leveraging the two teams' combined expertise and demonstrated the ability to offer a breadth of services and best practice, alignment to strategic aims and having multi-disciplinary design and delivery capability.
