Six mighty storm water screw pumps
mean the chance of flooding is reced-
ing for 17,000 homes in Hull. The
Archimedes pumps are the centrepiece
of Yorkshire Water's new Bransholme
pumping station, and can li four
tonnes of water per second – the same
as filling an Olympic swimming pool
in two minutes.
