What are the best and worst parts of your job? Best: The huge variety of things I get involved in, rang- ing from business strategy development to employee engagement, and choosing the colour scheme of our tea points. Reader of the week Sarah Hopkins, director of HR, Wales & West Utilities Worst: Hearing my team described as the 'HR police' – there's a huge amount more to it than that! What's your dream job and why? A travel writer/critic. I love trav- elling, so staying in new places and plush hotels and getting to tell them exactly what I think while being paid for it would be lots of fun. What's your most treasured possession? My two cats. Do they count as possessions? In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you? Having never thought about this before I asked some of my col- leagues and some friends. They suggested Sarah Jessica Parker in I Don't Know How She Does It. What album is currently in your car CD player? I don't have a CD player but my playlist is a bit random and includes Ed Sheeran, Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, Elton John and the Glee soundtrack. What's your favourite film and TV programme? Lots of favourite films, but my 'go to' one if I had a spare couple of hours would be Dirty Dancing. My favourite TV programme was Dexter before it finished and I'm currently 'enjoying' the very gruesome Hannibal. What quote or saying do you most overuse? My colleagues tell me I pepper my sentences with 'clearly' a bit too oen. If you ruled the world, what would you do first? Send myself and my loved ones on a luxury holiday. What's your favourite joke? My racing snail is not winning races any more, so I decided to take its shell off to make him more aerodynamic. It didn't work, if anything it made him more sluggish. The event established a "core development team" for driving forward network customer-centricity, including individuals from SSE, ENW, WWU, UKPN, NPG, NGG and NGN. Find out more on p23. "We have unique challenges so we need to develop unique solutions – I believe innovation has the answer" Con Feeney, network performance and safety director, NIE, speaking at a Policy Forum event. Beyond Paris On Tuesday 22 September, business lobby group the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) hosted an event in London which sought to identify the likely ramifications of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris this December, for Britain and the wider world. Former US vice president Al Gore delivered a keynote speech at the event, while Andrew Bonfield, global finance director at National Grid, participated in a panel debate.
