www.wwtonline.co.uk | WWT | SEPTEMBER 2015 | 47 PRODUCT OF THE MONTH Eaton HAYFLOW Eaton's HAYFLOW Q filter elements combine the advantages of a filter bag with those of a filter cartridge. The combination of proven extended-life DURAGAF filter material, which works as a high- performance pre-filter and depth filter, and precise nylon-monofilament woven material, facilitates highly effective depth filtration with efficient particle separation. Filter elements are easy to change and the product is ideal for demanding applications. PURON MP ultrafiltration cartridge The PURON MP ultrafiltration cartridge is designed for high-solids water and wastewater applications, including surface water treatment, reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment, and tertiary wastewater treatment. With an average continuous solids tolerance of up to 250 mg/L, it features an advanced cartridge design for better solids management and a virtually unbreakable reinforced hollow fibre for superior reliability. PURON MBR ultrafiltration membrane Produced by Koch Membrane Systems, the PURON MBR ultrafiltration membrane bioreactor is designed specifically for wastewater treatment plants. The patented module features reinforced PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) hollow fibres that are fixed only at the bottom, virtually eliminating the buildup of fibrous materials that typically clog the upper ends of other modules. Solids and particulates, including bacteria, remain on the outside, while permeate is drawn through the membrane to the inside of the fibres. OTHER TOP PiCks FOR FilTRaTiON Next month: Pumps email: jamesbrockett@fav-house.com THE DETails... TEQUATIC PLUS B-Series Skid Filters ● Filters down to 15 microns ● Can handle total suspended solids from 100-10,000 mg/L and greater ● Can operate as a primary filter or as a prefilter to dissolved air flotation What it is: Designed for high-solids water, and developed by the Dow Chemical Company, TEQUATIC PLUS Filters offer a continuously self-cleaning filter solution tough enough to cope with most industrial wastewater, even in the presence of fats, oils and grease. Who's it for: Heavy-duty industrial wastewater streams such as meat processing plants, factories and oilfields. Can be used to eliminate solids prior to dissolved air flotation. What's new: The B-Series Skid uses the same technology as the established TEQUATIC PLUS F-75 and F-150 Filters, but its skid design allows 'out of the box' installation and startup, so it is easier to drop into an existing water treatment process without redesigning the system. It's also quieter and is easier to maintain than its forerunners. How it works: The laser- cut filter element can filter down to 15 microns, while a cross-flow across the filter means it continuously cleans itself and solids are collected into a single device. An integrated control system runs, monitors and logs essential parameters and a touch screen interface allows for customization of settings.
