The hire panels provide a flexible solution for the measurement of selected key parameters in potable water treatment and power generation applications, with unlimited lending periods and full technical support. In a separate project in Guildford, HWM noise loggers helped the company to save 5Ml of water a day. PN Daly carried out a year-long project on behalf of Thames Water in London Datalogger identifies the leaks and Guildford. Focusing mainly on areas with cast iron pipes, the firm used 580 Permalog+ noise loggers from HWM in a lift-and-shift data collection mode for rapid deployment. On average, HWM's equipment enabled the six-person noise-logging team to identify 299 leaks a month, of which 232 proved genuine, a 78% conversion rate. As part of an improvement programme in Guildford, Permalog+ helped to reduce leakage from 17Ml to 12Ml a day. www.hwm-water.com T: 01633 489479 In order to provide customers with a simple selection guide, GEMÜ has summarised all the relevant components of a control system under the term Process Control System (PCS). The PCS type combines the standard GEMÜ control valves with mounting kit, piping system and positioner. Customers have the option of ordering the appropriate control system and necessary components quickly. Each nominal size has two regulating cones (linear and equal-percentage) to choose from as standard. The operators for the GEMÜ 554 (plastic), GEMÜ 514 (aluminium) and GEMÜ 550 (stainless steel) series are available in the form of actuators.
