Robert Longley-Cook has joined the board of
trustees at Wrap. As part of a 26-year career
at oil company BP, Longley-Cook played a
key role in the development of an overarching
strategy on 'plastics & waste' for the European
Plastics Association. He is currently chief
executive of national charity Hft, where he
leads the delivery of personalised support
services for 2,500 adults with learning
disabilities. Longley-Cook's experience in the
third sector will be invaluable given's Wrap's
charitable status.
East Midlands-based recycling and resource
management company, Wastecycle, has
appointed Nick Unwin as general manager
for collections. The new role has been created
to help deliver improvements in operations
and compliment the imminent arrival of the
company's new technology system. Unwin
will oversee the management of transport and
logistics.
NEW APPOINTMENTS
Movers & shakers
ADBA has announced three new board members, including David
Greenfield. Greenfield is an advisor to the Local Authority Waste
Network Coordinators as well as MD at Social, Environmental and
Economic Solutions. Biogen chief executive Julian O'Neill and Tamar
Energy boss William Heller have also joined the board. "I hope to help
ADBA make a strong, fact based, case that AD is the best economic and
environmental solution for organic waste for both local authorities and
the C&I market," said Heller.
