Cue ironic comments! @Tracey_utv FEBRUARY 2015 WET NEWS 3 T wo joint ventures, Agility and KCD, are to work with Thames Water in a new alliance that will deliver up to £1bn worth of business over the next • ve years. The new coalition has further potential to deliver water networks and developer services for Thames Water for up to the next 15 years. Agility comprises J Murphy & Sons and Morrison Utility Services, while KCD is made up from Kier Services and Clancy Docwra. The two ventures were selected following a rigorous procurement process - 130 assessors from 17 Thames Water departments have evaluated submissions from potential delivery partners over the past three months. Thames Water managing director of wholesale water Bob Collington said:Š"Agility and KCD will join the Thames Water family, working alongside us H alf of Yorkshire Water's energy needs is to be met through renewable electricity supplied by Selby- based Haven Power. The development follows the signing of a new contract, which extends the partnership between the water company and npower up to March 2017. The deal, facilitated by RWE Supply and Trading, is expected to save Yorkshire Water £250k, Šand help to keep customers' bills down. Yorkshire Water has seen an increase of 80% in renewable energy generation over the past year, partly because of increas- ing generation from the two new facilities at Bradford and She˜ eld.
